Just managed to snatch a quick shot of this heron enjoying the sunset this evening on my neighbours roof (probably using its vantage point to stake out garden ponds!). Its a lot bigger than the usual birds we see around here.

very nice - you could always fix a satellite dish to it and you'd get an excellent signal.
