I saw reports of tawny owls nearby so went off early this morning to try to see them, only saw one of the two reported but that was quite pleasing anyway:

and then it was off to wallasea island in search of Short Eared owls and hen harriers, saw several but all at a long distance apart from this one which crept up from behind me

Love the tawney owl shot! As mentioned already, seeing a hen harrier must have been fantastic, and the short eared owls too.
