lovely pics Dan. I was there most of yesterday but gone well before sunset.

We've got a beach hut at the Seaview park and we spend many happy days at Mersea. It's only 40 minutes away from us so ideal and we have even booked a cottage right on the beach front for 5 days during July - we love it there.

a pic of our beach hut:

Very nice Andy!!

Those huts must be one of the most photographed places on Mersea, nice to have on the long summer days!

Doesn't matter that it's only 40 mins from home, will feel a million miles when your down there!

if I has £1 for every time I saw someone photographing those huts I would be a very rich man. I've even seen a bride & groom there taking photos in front of them and pics of the huts appear everywhere.

It does feel completely different down there as well, a very nice unspoilt part of Essex. There are also some very interesting eating places as well and the latest addition to the wildlife are red squirrels. There has been a release programme over the last 2 years and they are seen regularly both in East and West Mersea.
