this competition is now closed to new entries however it isn't locked as we consider that one entry is not compliant with the subject title and I contacted the poster yesterday evening asking him if he would like to change it and we are allowing time for him to do so.

I will lock it at or after 7am tomorrow (depending if I get up late!) and the poll will follow soon after. I've got the list written except for the one post which we have offered the extension on so won't take me many minutes to post it.

Thanks for your patience.

I'm pleased to say that the entry referred to above had now been amended so I'm ready to go with the poll and it is now open for voting here: http://www.civilianaviation.co.uk/forum ... 10&t=30222

A record(?) number of entries this month, so pleased to see that it's a popular subject - thank you all for entering and lets see if we can get a record number of votes as well , with that many entries it may take a bit of time to pick your favourite 3!

Voting in this month's competition has now finished and this month's winner is Neil( Cessna954) with his Virgin 747 banking out of Heathrow - well done Neil

2nd is Pete (LondonEye)'s step back into the past photo from Gatwick of a Dan Air Comet - and well done Pete

when we get to third there are 5 all equal with 3 votes! (thank goodness it isn't POTM , I'd have fun trying to fit all them on the FB header!) so in alphabetical order, well done to the following:
Stephen (BringbackEGDG) - DH.89 Rapide G-AHAG departing Woburn
Pete (EGNH1909) - BOAC Boeing 707 and a BOAC Super VC10 at Manchester
Niall (Niallsaviation) – EasyJet G-EZOJ about to touch down at Corfu airport
Mike (Norwichmike) - Eastern Saab 2000 at Aberdeen
Denis (Wiggy) - British Air Ferries Viscount at Dublin

thanks to everybody who contributed to a bumper entry and to those who voted
The winners are now in the Hall of Fame here: http://www.civilianaviation.co.uk/forum ... 767#p95767
