Jersey to Cork Summer 2012 Schedule Announced

01/02/2012

Aer Arann today announced details of its Aer Lingus Regional summer 2012 flight schedule which sees the return of the popular Jersey-Cork summer seasonal service. It will operate twice weekly on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 05 May to 09 September with flights also starting from just €45.99 on http://www.aerlingus.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.

Commenting on the 2012 summer schedule, Aer Arann’s Director of Corporate Affairs Andrew Kelly today said, “We are delighted to bring back our Jersey-Cork service again this year which has proven popular with both Irish and Jersey customers year on year. The efficient and direct access to Cork and Ireland’s south coast that this service provides means that passengers from Jersey spend the maximum amount of time on their holiday as opposed to travelling. Likewise passengers from Ireland have hassle-free access to Jersey and its many stunning attractions”,

“With our Aer Lingus Regional services which are operated under a franchise agreement with Aer Lingus, Aer Arann remains committed to regional connectivity and to promoting tourism by providing the most direct and easy links between the UK, the Channel Islands and France and the regions of Ireland.” he continued.

Group Commercial Director for Ports of Jersey, Myra Shacklady said, “Jersey Airport is delighted to see the continuation of direct services between Jersey and Cork this summer. As always, these flights have proved increasingly popular in recent years, offering positive inbound tourism opportunities as well as convenience for the local Irish community visiting family and friends”.

Welcoming today’s announcement Declan Kearney, Aer Lingus Director of Communications, said, “We are delighted to see the Aer Lingus Regional services go from strength to strength and we wish Aer Arann continued success with the operation of its new and existing services for summer 2012.”
